Location good, just off the hwy. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly. Bed was comfortable.

Musty smell in the room, made worse with turning on the fan/AC. Went to the Canadian Tire to get air fresheners. Carpets old and dirty ?source of some of the odour. Asked for a cot and there literally was no room to set it up had to get a second room. Bathtub plug had black mold on it.

Very disappointing for the money spent.
Positives:
Location is great. Free hot breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30. Reception desk employees were friendly and apologetic of the scope of the renovations.
Negatives:
They did not notify us before the non-refundable booking that they were undergoing major rnovations of the exterior and interior, parking was limited and we had a 2nd level room while the roofers were working 7 days per week from 8 am to 5 pm. Our room was very dated and had a smell of marijuana. We also had the misfortune of someone drunk banging loudly on a door for what seemed forever out in the hallway at 12:30 am. Had we been told of the work let alone known the extent of the renovation we would have booked elsewhere. They offered no discount considering and it really was a disappointment. We had stayed here years before and had no issues.

Positives:
I really liked the proximity to the major highways for getting around! I also liked the sliding patio doors on the ground floor rooms! When locked they felt secure, but were able to open providing easy access to the parking lot for unpacking and packing the vehicle.
Negatives:
The breakfast room didnt have a lot of seating, so occasionally people come in and get breakfast but have nowhere to sit. I do understand though that not much can really be done about that I suppose.

Receptionist/manager was very rude behavior, I was requesting downstairs accommodation to swap to avoid with infant stroller taking stairs but she was kind of take it or leave it..also smell kind of old building
