tv didnt connect to apps like netflix or via wifi to personal devices.
bed in our first room was an EMBARRASSMENT to motel standards let alone downtown hilton hotel ones.
staff were young and not acquainted with traditional roles for upscale hotel front desk staff. they could neither give us anything in the way of recommendations or information regarding parking nor restaurants. parking was a nightmare btw: if you stay at the parking garage directly visible from the hotel (go out, turn right), please know that IF there is a special event going on downtown that day you will be charged $30 to park for as little as a few minutes. they will not tell you this when you enter and you will not be able to reenter after paying $30 for what is stated to be valid for 24 hours. the metered street parking is a better option - use the app to pay and it will give you an alert when your parking is 15 minutes from expiring. in some metered parking spaces you will be able to add time, but in others you will not. take note of all signage before you assume you're in the clear.

Positives:
Beautiful art deco styled Hotel in Downtown Phoenix. great restaurants inside, the sushi was awesome down near the hotel lobby. I saw there was a steakhouse menu but did not get to try.The nibbles and nosh on the Thirteenth floor were really good features a Latin menu consisting of various Tapas and a nice selection of wines. Great view of the city skyline, and a decent gym on the second floor. Near by parking garage. I would definitely book again! Tons to do in walking distance of the hotel grounds.
Negatives:
The breakfast menu was pretty pricey as well as the tapas up on the 13th floor… but I understand how that type of business goes. I still rate this place highly

Being a customer service manager for many years, I feel all who work in customer service should at least do the basics of using ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. The woman who checked us in did neither. No manners - not once during the entire check-in process. She was efficient in her position but not up to the standards of how the hotel presents itself. This was our only complaint otherwise we truly enjoyed our stay.
