Extended Stay America Suites - Oakland - Alameda Airport

Negatives: I chose this location over others of similar price based on Breakfast included... a few commercial granola bars, an stale industrial muffins, one type of coffee and only Sweet Coffeemate for creamer is not breakfast. Also it's at least 15 minutes away from any place that serves food being on the opposite side of the Airport. The room smelled "old" and everything seemed dated.

Negatives: Where do I start? First, this is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. And I will be honest that I didn't smell any cigarette smoke, but the hallways wreaked of marijuana smoke. We would get back at the end of the day and cough our ways down the hall. I could have gotten quite high had I just stayed in the hall but it smelled a lot like skunk to me. And don't stay here if you like service. There isn't any. I was kind of amazed when we checked in to be told the rooms were serviced every other...week. We were only there for five nights...thank god. The people at the front desk were the most brusque desk people we have encountered. It was like they were doing you a big favor if you asked for another towel or even to look up and acknowledge you. If you like a lot of noise in the hallways, you will love this place. The entire place just felt dirty. I almost forgot. Worst water pressure in any of the thousands of hotels we have stayed in. And the towels reminded me of the ones they passed out in high school gym class. Sad.

Negatives: Extended Stay America’s whole gimmick is that every room has a kitchenette because their target market is people planning an extended stay, right? So then why do you have to ask for dishes in order to have them in your kitchen? And when I asked, I still didn’t receive any. And I asked twice. First from the night desk and second from the day people.

Negatives: cart to unload car had a flat both times we stayed there had to carry stuff in and out of room. breakfast was little or none was told food came on fridays and it was sunday there was none both times we stayed. night man apeared to be upset when I asked where the second cart was, he said he wasnt going to look for it. so I looked and I could not find it anywhere.maybe he could be more helpfull

Negatives: I was really hoping for a better breakfast service, like eggs, sauges, etc...

Negatives: I didn't like that my car was stolen on 2-9-2024 from the parking lot no outside security or cameras and they let the people who stole my car stay there

Negatives: My husband and I bought a frozen pizza to have for dinner. We didn't get back to the room until late only to find that the oven did not turn on. Called the desk and was told there was nothing that could be done and we could talk to a manager in the morning. On the pull out sofa bed the mattress looked like it was dragged in from a dumpster. Very dirty and extremely bad condition. Our window in the room was broken which didn't affect our stay at all but just did not look nice. The headboard had handprints and smears on it - very gross! Next morning went to talk to manager and was told they were not in due to it being a weekend. Asked the FD to call the GM and she refused to get in contact with him for us.
