The pool and bars on floor 8 are not part of the hotel.
The pool is for show. This shouldn't be advertised as I was disappointed it wasn't available for guests.
We also tried to get a drink at level 8 and we were told it was reservation only on a Sunday eve.
I believe the doorman just didn't like the look of us to be honest

Positives:
The Moxy was extremely convenient for attending a show at the LA Convention Center. We took Amtrak to Union Station, then hopped on the Blue A Metronet line for a 12-minute ride south to the Pico station. The Pico station is next to the Moxy. The check-in was just a great experience, and later we were given a tour around both hotels (the Moxy and AC Hotel are both Marriot properties) by another attendant. It was a Tuesday so things were kind of slow and we just wanted to have a look around to see what we could do later. The quirky room (in a Moxy way!) was clean, quiet, and just a pleasure to visit. We really enjoyed having a guest closet you could visit to grab some towels and a toothbrush I forgot! So much easier than trying to track down housekeeping.

Positives:
My favorite part was LA’s amazing food and watching a comedy show! and shout out to moxy’s Valet crew, best service! Over all staff was friendly they don’t make the rules there, I only gave staff a :( because for a city that goes out late, there is no 24/7 staff so couldn’t even get water!
Negatives:
Rooms are all one size it’s like a shoebox, the pics online make the room seem bigger than they are it was not comfortable. No staff to bring water at night, no water in the rooms, parking ur car is $50ish a day lobby bar and some bars didn’t open until later in the early evening.
