Great location but unfortunately we were placed on the highway side of the building which was noisy at night. Great restaurant for both breakfast and dinner (and I assume brunch/lunch as well although we didn’t have those during our stay). Shuttle available to Universal Studios and there is paid parking available on the hotel site close by your room. Room had a 60s/70s style vibe and was clean and comfortable. Staff were great especially noted are the bar staff and restaurant staff. Buffet breakfast is excellent value. The room rate is not the cheapest in the area but everything is available on site including a pool.
Negatives:
Some rooms overlook the highway. Ours was one of them.

Positives:
Comfortable and clean rooms. Facilities were great but didn't have time to use them. Loved the shuttle to Universal. Loved the decor of the hotel. Staff were friendly. Good walking distance to get coffee in Tujunga Avenue where there was a lovely strip of shops and eateries. 10 min walk also to grocery stores.
Negatives:
You would need to get a car to see the sites but that would apply to many hotels.
Room could do with more PowerPoint's near the beds to charge devices.

Great Hotel near Universal.
Positives:
Didn't use pool, but very nice area. We did sit there for a quick drink. Front Yard restaurant was very good. I thought it to be a boutique hotel and was very surprised at how many rooms there were. Didn't feel crowded though.
Negatives:
Nothing really to complain about. We dot like a hash brown choice at breakfast though, not just fingerling/breakfast potatoes. Coffee a bit weak in a plain and cappucino choice.

Nice grounds - well located for universal. Liked the 70s decor
Negatives:
Right by a freeway (lots of noise), we were rung up whilst asleep at 8am in the morning and told to remove our drying clothes from the balcony as it did not fit with the “aesthetic” of the hotel - this annoyed us as our curtains were closed and we were asleep and made us feel unwelcome at the hotel.
