Negatives: When we arrived, the hotel was under construction. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time, by posting this information on your website. The pool closed very early in the evening - 8:00 p.m. - so we were unable to enjoy that. Breakfast didn't open until 7:00 on the weekends, which we could not enjoy either because we had to leave by 6:30 for a softball tournament. It was very disappointing since that was the reason we chose the hotel.

Negatives: Upon arrival the clerk said that they didn’t have a room for me. I had booked a month before. She told me I could go to another hotel. Then she “found” an upgraded room which I agreed to for the same cost. When I got into that room it was what I had originally booked. Frustrating to go through.

Negatives: Washer and dryer for guest not working. Very little breakfast choice. Bathroom not clean

Negatives: The room was clean, but the fumes from the cleanser were overpowering, we had to leave the door open for 45 minutes to air it out since the windows don't open. The bathroom walls were damaged & a little dirty, and the water pressure in the shower was non-existent. The breakfast options were minimal, and ran out about an hour before the scheduled end time, so I can't rate the food. At checkout time, a housekeeper banged (not knocked, banged) on the door and told us we had to get out now or we would be charged a late checkout fee. I understand and appreciate checkout time, so I don't need to be yelled at about it. It took a few minutes longer than normal for us to get ready due to an injury and the non-existent water pressure, so when we stopped at the front desk to check out & had to wait 5 more minutes for the front desk clerk to finish a phone call, I really didn't appreciate the negative attitude and being told that I was being charged a late checkout fee because the housekeeper told me to hurry. The rates were already inflated I believe because it was a graduation weekend, so the additional $40 for being 25 minutes late was unnecessary.

Negatives: The price was a bit high for the time of year and breakfast was very little compared to what I thought it was going to be.

Negatives: Hotel is dated - interior decor, amenities and furniture look like a job lot from a 1970's surplus sale. Apparently there is building work being done on the property (?) which would explain the missing skirtings and panels plus exposed behind-walls in the reception area and other places. Stair carpets and carpets in the halls are dirty, stained and in need of a good clean. The bedroom had an aircon unit from when they were invented and a small noisy fridge from the same era with bedroom furniture that would embarrass your elderly grandmother. Thoughtfully, some debris and rubbish from previous guests was left under it. The bed was big and surprisingly not too uncomfortable but the pillows were cheap and flimsy, the bedcover had several stains, 2 of the towels in the 70's Scandi-flick style bathroom were threadbare in places, the shower over the chipped bath was the same as Hitchcock used in the shower scene from 'Psycho' (including the shower curtain) plus it sloped dangerously towards the drain and was so slippery when wet that it would test the skills of Torvill and Dean when on ice. Breakfast was included but they should really pay you money to eat it. To say that the hotel is low-rent would be an insult to ultra-budget hotels except they charge half the price...

Negatives: The staff was not very friendly - it seemed like they were preoccupied and had somewhere else to be. No one ever acknowledged me, said hello or have a nice day when I walked by them at the front desk and when they did converse it was very short and quick.
