The hotel is 45 miles from the Bradley International Airport and 14 miles from the Tweed New Haven Regional Airport. The hotel is located in a suburban setting, minutes from area attractions and with walking distance of various restaurants and shopping opportunities. The first had a mattress that was equivalent to a cot, the second room the key card didn't work, the third room the heat not work and the headboard was filthy. The staff offered no solution. Because of the weather I was forced to stay.

my room was very very clean, but had several needed carpentry repairs: closet door handle missing; tp dispenser missing; escutcheons on shower grab bar, not properly seated. A handyman-type needs to walk through all the rooms, looking for such things!

THE BREAKFAST WAS GOOD. THE ROOM HAD A FRIDGE AND MICROWAVE IN THE ROOM. HOWEVER, THE SET UP OF THE KITCHEN AND STAFF LEFT A LOT TO BE DESIRED. THE STAFF WAS RUDE TO MY DAUGHTER.

MY ROOM WAS EXTREMELY RUN DOWN. THE SHOWER HEAD WAS BROKEN. THE BEDS DID AN ALMOST CATUPAULT WHEN YOU SAT ON THEM. THE ELECTRIC OUTLETS WERE SPARSE AND FAULTY. THE RUG WAS HORRIBLE. I ALWAYS CLEAN A ROOM UPON ARRIVAL. ON THIS PARTICULAR ROOM I USED TWO (2) ENTIRE PACKAGES OF LYSOL DISINFECTANT. I BOOKED FOR FOUR (4) GUESTS AND ONLY RECEIVED TOWELS FOR 2. I HAD TO REQUEST (MORE THAN TWICE) FOR THE ADDITIONAL NEEDED TOWELS. I ACTUALLY HAD TO RUN THE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF PERSON WHO DID UNDERSTAND ENGLISH TO GIVE ME ADDITIONAL TOWELS. I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS HOTEL. NO VENDING MACHINES WORKED, NO POOL ACCESS....NOTHING WAS GOOD ABOUT THIS HOTEL STAY. ALL OF MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT BOOKED ROOMS WITH THIS HOTEL HAD MAJOR PROBLEMS/ISSUES WITH THEIR ASSIGNED ROOMS. WE FELT THAT WE WERE PLACED IN THE CRAPPY ROOMS, WHILE WE NOTICED THAT OTHER GUESTS OF THE HOTEL WERE NOT PLACED IN THOSE TYPE OF CRAPPY ROOMS. WE FELT THAT WE AS BLACK PEOPLE WE WERE BEING DISCRIMINIATED AGAINST. ALSO, THIS IS A PET FRIENDLY HOTEL, MY DAUGHTER'S DOG WAS NOT THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOTEL, HOWEVER, THE STAFF TREATED HER DIFFENTLY THAN OTHER GUESTS WITH DOGS.

I recently stayed in a Days Inn in the general area and paid more for my stay there and was not happy with that facility. I was very relieved to find that the Clarion was better kept, much more pleasant and less expensive. This was a great relief for me. Thanks!

This is a minor detail, but visually there is some cosmetic damage/erosion/aging to the brick facade on the building that doesn't look so great. Fortunately that was not an indication of the quality that I would experience of my stay at the facility.
