Home2 Suites By Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Airport-Cruise Port

Negatives: Was told there were dining options within walking distance of the hotel. When I arrived found that the only thing available was Thai food and everything else was a 20-minute walk at best. I had specifically asked this question as I knew I would not have a car available to me and would want to get some dinner when I arrived. Ending up ordering from what was advertised as room service when in fact it was an outside vendor, and the food was absolutely awful, not edible and extremely overpriced $38,00 plus without tip. Ordered a steak sandwich, bread and fries were soggy, I am not sure what kind of meat they used but it sure was not any steak I had ever seen. I stayed at Home2Home as I had stayed at another one and they served a very good breakfast. This location serves a minuscule type of breakfast more than just a continental but just barely. It consisted of bagels, juices, 2 different types of very small pre-made omelets, cereal, sausage. Could be considered adequate by some unless you have a picky eater then they may go hungry. This location will pick up of from the airport free of charge, but the shuttle does not state Home2Home, when I stayed it was called Blue Star and unless someone gets out of the vehicle with some type of cardboard sign you would never know that is your ride. It is not mentioned when you call to get picked up, they just advise you to go to a certain location and wait. They will take you to the cruise port for an additional fee. At the time of my stay, it was $15.00 a person. The elevator buttons are not located where you would normally see them, they are right next to the elevator door tucked around the corner and not in plain view.

Negatives: Room had sticky floors. Metal surfaces were rusted. Computer chair arms were ripped with foam exposed

Negatives: Pool was cold. Please consider heating the water.

Negatives: Not a very clean/nice neighborhood.

Negatives: Where do we start. No ice machine on our floor. Used the lifts to get to one but ended up in the laundry. Breakfast..... certainly not what I call breakfast. Plastic plates, no cups other than paper cups. Food cold and unedable. Luckly we were gonig on a cruise so got breakfast there. We were charged on checkin (paid cash). On checkout our credit card was charged TWICE. No fighting to get the right amount of money back. Well not stay here again!!!

Negatives: One elevator and when we arrived after longs flights the system was down and people just standing around in lobby but the workers were so nice and accommodating. Wasn’t their fault
