The rooms have been updated and are clean. Coolies available on check in and coffee in the lobby in the morning. Pet friendly for a 25$ fee

The outside of the property could use some updates. Hard to see the sign. Busy train track runs behind the hotel. You can walk to the historic district, but you cross a busy road with no close crosswalk

Decent hotel that’s pet friendly
Positives:
The check in was super quick and friendly. I've been twice in the past month and both men I've encountered were awesome. It's funny because the TVs are a bit outdated. But they offer free dvds for the DVD play that your room has. Both rooms were on opposite sides of hotel and both equally clean and comfortable! Also the location to downtown is hardly a 10 minute walk. Very convenient without being literally downtown.
Negatives:
Wish the TV was a smart TV. And the only downside is the train behind can be a bit bothersome if it drives through the night - but that's nothing they can do personally. Just an observation.

Pretty location, nice pool. Next to a busy road and some train tracks, but it was fine and quiet. Close enough to walk to downtown from.
Would gladly stay there again.

Parking spaces were a little tight for my truck, but that is most places. No other real complaints.

Great location next to tourist trolley visitor center. No need to park downtown if taking trolley tour. Lake view and pier were very nice.
While an old motel-style property, it is well maintained.
Negatives:
Property is old with only rooms that open directly to external parking lot. There is no elevator so have to lug belongings to second floor room
Be prepared for a freight train or two at night as RR track faces back rooms.

Everything was wonderful in the room. Bed were very comfortable. 2 different types of pillows so my husband had the kind he preferred and I had the kind I preferred. The shower was very nice and spacious.
Negatives:
Water pressure wasn't great in the shower. The blinds didn't black out all the light. Had a suite. There was a partition wall but it was open in the middle. Feels like should have been a curtain there so that is you want to keep an eye on your kids you can but if you want more privacy you could close it
