Positives: Very Friendly & accommodating front desk staff. My daughter-in-law, myself and five grandchildren drove 12 hours to pick up my son from Ft. Moore after being away 5 weeks . We found out that it was a possibility, after we arrived, that he maybe staying longer. Due to check out time and time he would know, we were at a lost as to what we would do for those few hours. I spoke to the amazing front desk clerk and being a member, we were given a few more hours passed check-out. We ended up taking him home, but they made us feel comfortable and took away our worries. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast the have is just fine. They have coffee available all night and travel cups which we found to be perfect.
Negatives: We booked the hotel/motel due to closeness to the base, ratings and what we really wanted was pool for kids. Deposits I booked & paid for 2 rooms. Once I get there, keep in mind I had been in touch with hotel on couple of occasions, I find after we arrived I have to pay $50 deposit separately on each room. I was then told that I will get the deposit back if paid with Cash upon leaving or within 5 business days if by debit (only accept debit) card. We had just drove 12 hours, it was late and we were tired along with, I do not carry a lot of extra cash so I used card. Upon leaving, my room with whom I shared with my oldest granddaughter, was left with only a few towels, washcloths, trash bags were removed and tied etc. The second room had my son, daughter-in-law and the younger 4 who wanted to be with their dad as he had been gone 5 weeks. They had more towels, trash etc.. but nothing that would deny me my deposits back. AS OF YET WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED EITHER ONE OF THE DEPOSITS. I have given them plenty of time to credit the account. I wish now I had paid in cash. That was extremely frustrating and I feel like we were singled out because of kids. We could of stayed many other places but as I mentioned above the reason we chose this hotel/motel. I could of been messaged by hotel or told during one of the times I had messaged them about the deposit (which was a first for me to pay). The pool (a huge reason on why we chose and stayed) They told us upon arrival (late arrival) where to get towels and how to get to pool along with times. The next day after returning the kids wanted to go swimming. We walked out only to find the pool was green. I spoke with a gentleman at front desk and he called to check on it. He was told they were working on it and he then proceeded to tell me he would call when it was able to be used. An hour later he called and said it was ready.

Positives: The location was ideal.
Negatives: This was our first time staying at a Microtel Inn. I was not impressed. The AC was really loud, along with the mini fridge. It kept me up all night. The toilet would not stop running unless you jiggled the handle. The stopper to the bath tub was sitting on the side of the tub. The microwave was so ancient I was afraid to use it for fear it would leak radiation. The pillows were filled with small lumps you had to re-arrange to get any type of support. It ended up being very uncomfortable. There was rotten oranges served for Breakfast. We stayed two nights, the second day our room was not cleaned. The only thing the housekeeper did was take out the trash, which is another thing that was odd. When we first arrived the trash bags were not in the trash cans. They were just draped over the sides of the can. We had to put the bags in the cans to throw trash in it. When the housekeeper took the trash bags out, she again just draped the trash bag over the side of the can. She also took the bath mat towel and didn't leave another one. None of the dirty towels were taken. They were left on the floor. Good thing there was another set already in the bathroom we could use. I will not be staying here again. As we moved on to another town on our journey I cringed when my husband pulled up to another Microtel Inn. I braced myself for another disappointing stay. Luckily, this one didn't not have any issues that yours did and redeem, a little, the Microtel brand.
