Pre-paid through Booking. Hotel added an additional $195 authorization on my credit card prior to checking in for a one night stay. This was more than the room itself. The high authorization was pointless since the property had no restaurant, bar, room service, etc to charge to my room.
I did advance check-in and was told my phone would unlock the room. This didn’t work. I had to return to the front desk with luggage, and was told to restart the app and it would work, it didn’t. Had to return to front desk again, with luggage, and finally got a key. The front desk attendant blamed me because I pre-paid on Booking instead of Hilton Honors.
