It’s an okay place, beds were overall fine, you get pretty much what you expect at an airport hotel of this category.
Negatives:
Rooms appear a bit dated, an extra amenity fee charged on arrival came as a surprise not least since the rates are already Hawai’i-style high (they even call it a resort fee on the website - it wasn’t entirely clear from booking.com that this will be charged in addition to the quoted price). This fee seems rather unreasonable for this kind of accommodation - never had this at an airport hotel and no place on the islands charged us such a fee other than this place; “amenities” were few (no kettle, body lotion in the bathroom was empty, some towels had stains, and a cockroach paid us a visit, too) which leaves some bitter taste. Why not calculate this in the room rate if you don’t have anything special to offer as an amenity.

Spacious comfortable room. Not a great view but you hardly expect that. given the location.

Hotel added 11 dollars per night for amenities with no choice given as to whether you accepted it. As far as I understood this covered wifi which looked from the site details to be included in the overall price. It certainly should have been. Given my position I felt I had to accept it. In fact I ended up being charged $50 extra for reasons that haven't been explained. As I wasn't expecting such a charge I never asked for a final bill, assuming that it had all been covered. It pretty easy to add such costs when they know you are from a different country and are very unlikely to come back to Honolulu and challenge it. Trying to deal with it remotely means they can easily ignore it as can be seen from the boilerplate response. SO MAKE SURE you get a final billing at he time so you can challenge such additions.
Staff were off hand and didn't seem to be bothered. One was positively unpleasant.
Noisy but given its location next to major highway and airport not surprising. Airport shuttle seemed inflexible and poorly explained.
Best Western just down the road is comfortable and open about all their charges.

This was our second stay here. It’s really convenient for the airport if you have an early flight, or are arriving late. There’s a free shuttle to and from the airport.
The beds are comfortable and the room is quiet.
