It was a good weekend...
Positives:
I really liked the neighbourhood the hotel was in. I liked walking on the street. It was within walking distance to a metro stop as well. And, hey, there's an attraction right across the street, Ernest Hemingway's apartment. The price was also ok for a big city like Chicago.
Negatives:
The room looks better in the pictures on this website than in reality. Not to say that it was bad though. I had some troubles with the size of the bathroom, it was hard to go around in it. Then the positions of the electric plugs was not the best. The room was kind of dark with not enough light sources. The beds were extremely high, so if you're short, you have to jump to get into bed.

It’s in a great neighborhood close to public transportation. The hotel itself is well kept.staff is very friendly and helpful.
Negatives:
We had issues with our air condition which wasn’t kicking on automatically. A maintenance person checked it out but did not fix it. We didn’t want to move rooms in the middle of our stay so we ended up staying in that room. The temperature was cool that night so we weren’t miserable but it was a bit stuffy. When we checked out we explained the issue to the receptionist and she gave us a credit for the urban fees which was nice.

I wanted a quiet room and the late night check in gal didn't seem to know anything about the rooms. So she gave us a really small room 312 overlooking a brick wall and the roof vent. Yes it was quiet except for the barking dog down the hall. She also quoted me extra charges that didn't make any sense. Very different from the gentleman who was working the AM shift, who was very helpful and polite.
