Hampton Inn By Hilton & Suites Portland ME

Negatives: It wasn't really bad, but it was weird that the bed wasn't facing the tv and the TV was to the right of the bed and made it difficult to watch TV from the bed. There was a couch in front of the TV but prefer watching TV from the bed. Also, I couldn't understand the three random colored strips on the wall that looked like colored test strips when the rest of the room had a nice suttle grey theme with nice pictures on the wall. The colored strips were just random and made no sense what so ever.

Negatives: We arrived to a dirty room. Food still in the fridge and cookie chunks all over the floor.

Negatives: No towels in pool

Negatives: Side door didn’t let us in so we had to walk around front with bags and such and mini fridge didn’t shut all the way

Negatives: Not as close to airport as I thought.

Negatives: There was no room clean up or change towels every alternate day as said. Too noisy from neighboring rooms which means the sound blocking is not good.

Negatives: I did not like how the door was left open and my kids just walked in before I realized it, the bathroom shower was dirty, and the refrigerator smelled like trash but after a 12 hr drive and getting kids settled it took me a minute to process things. When I went to tell the front desk clerk who initially was pleasant when we got there but when she realized I had a complaint her entire demeanor and attitude changed. She basically told me there was nothing she could do, she would make a note and to talk to someone in the morning. We drove in for my son prom so the next day was hectic and busy. We planned to come back to this hotel for his graduation in June but that definitely will not be happening. The staff barely greeted you upon entrance and if you needed something they wouldn’t acknowledge you until a few minutes after standing there. Just terrible.

Negatives: The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on...it was like sleeping on plywood and the pillows offered zero support.

Negatives: Nothing

Negatives: We were on the 2nd floor and had to call the front desk 3 times between 8:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. because the people above us had kids that were running back and forth making so much noise that my granddaughter and I could not sleep. Each time, they quieted down for a couple of minutes and then started right back in. There isn't much for insulation between the floors and ceilings to cut down on the noise, We ended up moving to a room on the top floor (4th floor) at 10:00 because it was the only way were going to get any sleep.

Negatives: Mini fridge did not work but we didn’t need it so didn’t bring it to staff’s attention to fix. Sofa bed was not very comfy but fine for little kids. Highway traffic was a little noisy but we travel with a sound machine so not a big deal for us.
