The room was fine, location was great
Negatives:
The property is under construction and had no bar or amenities. I didn't see that in the listing.

Negatives:
It was under construction during our stay. Also, I didn’t realize our price didn’t include breakfast and there’s no pool. Haha…

Fine.
Positives:
Hilton Gardens is a typical corporate-run hotel in a fairly big city. The spacious room was clean, functional, and had all the amenities (linens, free soap and shampoo, Wi-Fi, reasonably comfortable bed, etc.). The property's décor was bland and inoffensive. A friend visiting us looked around the room and summed it up beautifully: "Charmless but harmless," she said!
Negatives:
Parts of the hotel were under renovation, and so there were several issues related to that. For example, one of the elevators was usually not working. Since there were only two guest elevators (plus one service elevator), this made for long wait times. We often ended up taking the stairs. Similarly, when we checked out, and retrieved our car from the parking lot, the gate to release cars out onto the street was broken, stuck in the down position. After schlepping back to the front desk a couple of times, we finally got out of the lot, after about 15 minutes. Parking was also VERY expensive: $28 a day, plus tax. Additionally, at checkout time, we had a billing error (charged for breakfasts we did not have), and that took some time to get resolved. Finally, weirdly, the contour sheet on the bed did not actually fit the mattress. So it popped off at night. We had to re-make our bed every morning to make it work for the next night's sleep. There was no housekeeping during our stay. ~mp

Positives:
Liked the lay out , breakfast
And all the things I wanted to was at least 30min or less from hotel.
Negatives:
I didn't like that we were there with no pool, and the middle elevator stopped only on the 13th and G floor. Smh
There was no sign until after, I guess, more people were complaining a lot.

Negatives:
Gentleman at the front desk when I checked in was extremely rude to the people ahead of me. When I exited the hotel, he was rude to the folks he was speaking to then as well. The elevator was broken and the front desk did not let patrons know, so people were constantly confused and waiting by the elevator. The entire first level was under construction. The rooms should not have cost this much for this level of chaos on the weekend I travelled.

Positives:
Stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Bethesda Downtown the night before an early morning Hospital surgery
The room & Bathroom setup were both very comfortable, the 3 extra pillows I requested were made available.
We did have to change rooms, the door lock was not functioning & neither our key cards or those of a staff member would work.
Parking was convenient.
Despite the Room key-card issue & the high bed, my husband & I still rate the hotel EXCELLENT & if I return to the same hospital, we shall definitely stay here again.
Negatives:
Question, I'm 5'1", could I have requested a step-stool? I found the height of the bed challenging.
