Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Franklin

Negatives: Noisy. Neighbors thumping around all night. Apparently there is very little sound-proofing.

Negatives: The room that I initially got was dirty and there was no shower on the first floor. It was like stepping on to concrete in the bathroom. I requested a 2nd floor room with a tub in the bathroom and it must be cleaned. They gave me 229 from 118. I do wish the price was better per night too. First time I visited I paid $135 per night. However, during this visit I paid $179 per night. That’s a big price difference for the same hotel and room stay.

Negatives: There was this disgusting smell in the lobby that made me ill. Nothing the hotel did but I think it was someone’s bad body order mixed with cheap perfume. It smelled so horrible I couldn’t even go to the dining area because it was everywhere. I even smelled it the next morning during breakfast. I had to bring my food back to the room to eat because it was just making me nauseous by that point.

Negatives: We liked everything about it.

Negatives: Breakfast was a bit chaotic. And I wish there was more fresh fruit options.

Negatives: The day before our scheduled arrival we received an email encouraging us to check in online. Clicked through only to receive a message that our reservation wasn't found. I sent the hotel a message through Booking.com and received what appeared to be an automated out-of-office response. When I replied "Do you mean to tell me that this hotel only has one staff member authorized to respond to Booking.com messages?" I received the same automated response.I tried unsuccessfully to check in online a second time before calling the hotel and speaking with Aaron. He was very helpful and assigned us a room as he indicated that the lack of room assignment was likely the problem. It wasn't as I still wasn't able to check in online, but at least we knew they had our reservation. Upon arrival, we found that the bathtub faucet was trickling water steadily and couldn't be shut off. There was also dirt around the small permanent puddle that was a result of the steady stream of water. There was no soap for the bathroom sink, nor are there guest-accessible ice machines, though the gentleman who checked us out happily provided us with a small bag of ice upon request. He also indicated that maintenance would rectify the bathtub situation. Was surprised that there was a $7/day parking fee added to our bill, but I'll assume that it was disclosed somewhere and I just overlooked it.

Negatives: Both bathrooms in my room had dirty towels hanging on the doors, a dirty washcloth in one bathroom and the tub was dirty

Negatives: Elevator was filthy. I actually stuck to the floor. There were no actual plates in the room..only salad size. There was one drinking glass and the rest were coffee mugs and a couple of wine glasses. The toilet did not flush properly. We never received any service while there and we had overflowing trash.

Negatives: No service while there No trash pick up or towels Had a bag of trash at door of 102 on arrrival Thursday and was there till I told the front desk on Saturday and clerk said no way like I was lying. Room air wasn’t comfortable at all. And. 2 of 3 nights a dog in a room in area barked from 12a till about 1:30a. Unacceptable. Out them in one area. And lastly there was some type of issue with rooms on way to rm 104. There was wallpaper ripped up air blowers going all weekend and bags in hallway. Not good conditions for breathing. I asked to be moved up but. No rooms open. So we had to walk past it until late Saturday when taken away. Poor management. For price expected much better conditions. I do plan on notifying the better business bureau
