Staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was probably one the best of any hotel at this level and price-point - and I have been over the US and to nearly 50 countries. The complimentary pass for the gym down the road was icing on the cake.
Negatives:
The only downside of my trip is dealing with Booking.com. These past few years my wife and I agree that Booking has become increasingly more and more difficult to deal with when needing any level of support. On this trip alone I spent over 4 hours on hold on 3 separate calls to fix a simple problem and it was still never done correctly to the point I had to double book directly with the hotel late one night just to get a room. The support experience has been in rapid decline for the past 4 years, I've had enough and unfortunately this will be the last time I use Booking.com - which we have been using exclusively for 15 years for both work and leisure. Also, the Booking.com website keeps defaulting to your last search despite already booking for it, so there have been a handful of times after getting my stay set for a current trip, then logging into my profile that it defaults back to the last search date executed when logged in months ago. I've complained about this to no avail and this has messed up a handful of reservations in the past few years. Some I caught in time and some that I did not.

Positives:
I loved that the staff was so accomodating. We got a "handicapped room" where the beds and furniture were suited for someone in a wheelchair. We would have been fine in the room; however, we asked for a different room, and the staff upgraded us to a suite with their "appologies." The room was spacious and clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. The TV was large so that people could either be on the couch watching it or in the bed. The shower was hot and water pressure strong. Additionally, there were several high school teams staying, must have been a tournament, but once you were inside your room, the hotel was quiet. There was plenty of hot delicious food for everyone at the am breakfast and it was busy!! Great location for going out to eat and getting gas.

The phone was broken inside the room, so I had to walk down to the front desk with my questions.

Hampton Inns have clean rooms with nice breakfast for the cost, just not this one
Negatives:
The room smelled bad like a basement. My wife found black mildew or mold in door track of shower, she cleaned it and left the blackened white wash cloth for crew to see.
