The hotel is beautiful! The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. The next thing I noticed when we got off the elevator onto the 5th floor, was how wonderful it smelled! You normally don’t get that from many hotels. The room was lovely and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was delicious and such a huge variety of items to choose from. We will definitely be coming back to stay again in the future!

The gym was good, although some the machines were not working. The rooms were spacious and modern. The restaurant and free wine and snack were awesome. The "snack" was an expensive cheese board. Wow I didn't expect that. Especially these days. The hotel staff was freindly and knowledgeable. The restaurant staff as well. You could overhear orher patrons as well praising the wait staff. And the restaurant supervisor was very complimentary of the staff. Great team in place there.
Negatives:
The valet was a little overwhelmed, but it was the weekend of the eclipse, so I'm sure he was not ready for that level of business. But I understand you can't bump up staff just for one weekend.

The black lady at the reception who checked us in was so rude and disrespectful, that she alone had managed to perfectly ruin my entire stay. When I approached the front desk, she was sitting down, using her phone, and didn't acknowledge me until I spoke to her in her face. She barely makes effort for customer service. I had requested a crib, which was confirmed as available prior to our arrival, but she was reluctant to even start looking for one and repeatedly said there is no guarantee. I was also disappointed to find that our room was not cleaned. There were coffee grounds left in the coffee machine, fur balls on the floor, and used toilet paper in the bathroom. When I asked to be moved to a different room, I discovered that she had previously lied about all the other rooms being fully booked. Overall, the hotel itself was decent for the price, I will never risk staying at another 'affordable' hotel thanks to her.

Positives:
The room was huge which for a 4 night trip was really nice. The fridge had a small freezer section that worked wonderfully and the bar had a sperate little sink. The blinds were great and kept the room nice and dark. The bathroom is massive with a tub you could swim in. Lots of walkable restaurants nearby but the hotel breakfast looked amazing if you just wanted to stay in. The pool is short but a simple rectangle that never had kids in it so we were able to swim "laps". The gym was large and had sufficient weights and machines to get in a solid workout. You can easily do your cardio outside the hotel as out back is a lovely neighborhood where I felt totally safe running solo.
Negatives:
The bar and restaurant is completely sperate from the hotel so you don't have the ease of ordering and billing to your room. Not a big deal at all but I've never run into that before.
