Negatives: Rooms, bed, staff, smell

Negatives: Loud guests out in the halls all hours of the day/night. Foul smell in the room. Window on our ground floor room was about 30 yards from a noisy intersection. Tiny tv. Light shines thru the door. That's so annoying. The bathroom was not cleaned well. I cleaned the shower before using it.

Negatives: The place was tired and poorly maintained. I have never been in a hotel where every door frame was bashed in from where the cleaning staff had crashed the frame with their cart. Furniture was chipped, countertop had burns, top of fridge looked as if acid had been poured on it. While passably clean some corners were grubby. The TV screen looked as of it had been wiped with a cleaning rag. Coffee maker did not work. Kitchen faucet only delivered water on one side (not sure if hot or cold). Minimal dishes and silverware (often only one of each item.) the price was good compared to most - I guess you get what you pay for!

Negatives: 1) Confirmed property was pet friendly with Candlewood Suites but was told post check-in they do not accept cats. I attempted to show the Property Manager the confirmation email I had received but she said "I don't want to look at it." 2) Bathroom toilet would not flush properly the second time it was used. Reported to the Front Desk the evening of the first night of stay and did not see a Maintenance person until 10:00 AM the following day. Once Maintenance was there, they flooded the bathroom floor by overusing a plunger. The Property Manager blamed the flooding on me, even though it was their Maintenance staff who was responsible. The Maintenance person said I had flushed cat litter down the toilet although I certainly did not. The Property Manager charged me for the full stay and would not refund any monies. She gave me an hour to leave the hotel or she would "call the authorities." I had to secure another hotel when that weekend was college graduation and Mother's Day. I am a handicapped senior citizen and this experience was horrific. The Property Manager would not refund any monies on this stay as she said I caused the damage due to the flooding although there was no damage. She said "Well, there could have been." And, again, their Maintenance person caused the flooding. When I was vacating the property, I sat for a moment in the main lounge. Another woman was sitting there, and the Property Manager apologized to her for the problem she had with the plumbing and thanked her for waiting while they prepared another room. Apparently, I wasn't the only guest who had issues. I attempted to return the room card keys to the Property Manager and was told "Don't make a big deal out of it." REALLY? REALLY? Additionally, the property did not provide me with a copy of the bill. I am contemplating filing a lawsuit over these issues.

Negatives: The promised shuttle was being fixed.All reviews say they always say this. Uber driver said they have not had one for quite awhile. No vending machines at all. So could not get drinks. Not even a candy bar. Elevator and halls smelled very bad.
