Cleanliness and clientele. We noticed there are full time residents living at this hotel. The school bus came to pickup a child. One couple was hanging over the balcony and singing loudly. One of them was parked outside my room in his car. He was there from the time we checked in until we came back from dinner. It was
intimidating to say the least. My room showed so much wear on the furniture and outdated decor. The bedding
seemed clean enough. That was not the case in my son’s room. The sheets were stained and had holes in them.
The front desk person was curt and not helpful to say the least. When I came to ask him if I could cancel because I felt unsafe and unhappy he said I could cancel through booking.com. We had just driven for 10 hours and did not know how to contact you and, honestly, were so tired we needed to rest. My son was unable to sleep at all based
concerns regarding safety for me, our car and our belongings. The neighborhood was rough. Police were called to the Burger King right by the hotel because of a woman making threats with a gun. We woke up to police cars at the hotel and 4 or 5 policeman searching one of the resident’s roomsand holding him outside the room. I had stayed there a few times 4 or 5 years ago without these issues. I wasn’t expecting luxury for the price point ; however I did expect cleanliness, somewhat current decor and most of all to feel safe!

Positives:
The room is very clean, bed is clean and comfortsble. Air quality in the room is natual fresh, clean smell. No artificial air fresner smell. All amenities as described. The staff members are courteous and helpful. The parking area are well lighting, gives the safe environment. Location is good to all restaurants and gas stations, which is convienen for travelers. The price is excellent.

Weird odor? Not from being dirty but it smelled like cigarettes and pickles. Occupants seem to prop their doors open and smoke on the outside walkways so I assume the smoke eventually drifts inside. Relatively clean. But could use touchups - lots of chipped paint. Like I said relatively clean but you can tell they don't exactly vacuum thoroughly and there were some random splatters (on tv screen, tops of drawers) but the sheets and bed and towels were clean. They don't check the in room coffee makers. Mine had a used coffee filter in it. Also the pillows were paper thin. Had to stack three on top of each other just to make a normal size pillow. AC unit is old so it only hits half the room.

Right off the interstate so the traffic noise was terrible. Our bed was horrible, the mattress was so hard it was like sleeping on a cardboard box and there was mildew in the bathtub along the caulking.
