Radisson Hotel Akron/Fairlawn

Negatives: The vibe when you walked in ended once I got to my 1st room. Actually it was a little before because the hallway smelled like cigar smoke but as long as the smell was not in my room, all was ok. Then I walked in. I opened the curtains because they were shut, there were handprints on the windows, I went to unpack and there were feathers on my bed. No big deal because I assumed they came from the pillows, they did not. There were crumbs on the floor, empty water bottles under the bed, black around the caulking of the tub. I grabbed my things and asked for another room because if I just glanced around and seen all of this, just imagine what lurks if I went to sleep. My next room was a little better, the cigar smoke was embedded in the room and they obviously used the ice bucket as an ashtray because there were ashes on the lid. Handprints were still on the windows, mirror was streaked, the vanity mirror had water spots, and the desk/table had to be wiped down because I guess someone sat something oily on there and it left residue. Hopefully it wasn't lube. This room had carpet so I didn't see any crumbs. I pulled sheets back, they looked clean so I decided to stay since I was only there for one night. When I finally went to sleep I heard someone fiddling with my door, then my door opens!!! Luckily I had the chain lock on because he would have walked in. I got up slammed the door and immediately called the front desk. I was placed on a 5 minute hold. When she did answer I explained what happened and she kinda chuckled and said yes it was a mix up and I apologize. I dressed went to front desk and asked to please talk to a manager because after 2 dirty rooms and man opening my hotel door I had enough. She got the manger on the phone, she blamed him, he blamed her I told them I don't need an excuse I need a solution.

Negatives: The mattress

Negatives: Bathrooms could use updating.

Negatives: The pool area was small and the exercise room are too close to each other which you can slip and fall into the equipment if your not careful when walking out of the pool area. When you get there you have to pay 150.00 deposit that wasn't disclosed on booking website after you already for your room. Going to our room there was lashes on the hallway floor.

Negatives: Cleanliness, the hotel is quite run down. People smoking in the hotel (there was an obvious smell throughout). Overpriced food and drink. The bar closing before 9.30pm.

Negatives: Breakfast was definitely missed but again for the price.
