Positives: The staff was friendly and very helpful when I asked for a visible alarm clock in the room. (I'm very hard of hearing, almost stone deaf without my hearing aids, so a "wakeup call" is not helpful. A visible clock on the nightstand is essential.) The location was very good for my needs.
Negatives: Let me preface this by saying that Hampton Inn is ALWAYS my first choice if there is one in the location that I'm traveling to. They set the standard for our family. But this property doesn't measure up to the standard I've always found at previous Hampton Inn's. It needs to be "refreshed". Examples. The toilet bowl had a visible streak of running rust. The bathtub bottom surface had two large discolored spots from standing water. The faucet outlet in the tub was loose to the touch. The ice machine down by the lobby turned out "slush", not ice cubes. Hallway and elevator floors/carpets were worn and stained. The mini-fridge in the room hasn't likely been defrosted in a year, as the small freezer section was plugged in accumulated ice and unusable. Considering price of nearly $700 for a 3-night stay, it was a disappointing visit.
