The hotel was very clean and the people were friendly. Breakfast was great. There was a person there to help move along the waffle station, so everyone got their waffle within a few minutes.
Positives:
Comfortable beds, good location, reasonable price, easy parking, fairly modern rooms with great AC, staff friendly.
Negatives:
No elevator, mediocre breakfast
Review
Good place to stay with short drive to Newport downtown. There is a shuttle, but it was only running Friday and Saturday when we stayed (Sept). Clean, comfortable rooms (and beds). AC unit was suprisingly quiet and allowed simple adjustment of fan speed and temperature---much better than usual hotel ACs. Pretty good lighting over beds for reading. TV was quite small, but we did not use it.
Fairly quiet room (stayed on second floor, so no experience with living below). I did hear some noises from next room, so probably depends on neighbors. Bathroom quite small, but OK and a second sink outside bathroom was nice touch. No elevator, so we had to schlep our luggage up the stairs. Convenient parking near rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast not great--usual continental fare--limited to cold food (unless you count toaster and waffle iron).
