When we pulled up there was a lot of foot traffic passing through. When we got to the room we had to walk all the way inside in the dark because the light switch didn't work. The first thing I noticed were the disgusting mattresses due to the sheets not fitting properly. I pulled the covers back and the sheets were stained or dirty (not sure which because I was afraid to touch the marks) and there were straight and curly hairs stuck to the sheets. The room had a foul odor. The walls were stained with something. The light switches on the walls and lamps were gross with something smeared on them. Then I noticed the floor was littered with dead bugs and my son said he saw a live one in the bathroom. We thought about sleeping in the car but when we opened the door (which didn't even shut properly so the lock was useless) we saw more single males crossing the parking lot with backpacks. We ended up booking at the Best Western up the road and had a wonderful stay. Don't make the same mistake as us. Believe the reviews.

I booked a trip of 2 nights in La Quinta Inn by Windham San Antonio I 35 North at Toepperwein from May 3rd to 5th.
We arrived around 11pm, did the check in, and we went to our room. And it became the worst experience I’ve ever had in an hotel.
The room has not been cleaned or prepared. The bed was super humid. The floor was greasy everywhere. The sheets were full of cum. The towels were disgusting. There was cake on the walls. Garbage on the floor in the bathroom. You can find some pictures attached.
It was late and I was tired, so I just went to the lobby to ask them to clean the room, and that I was not going to sleep another night in this hotel on the 4th, that I will cancel.
They told me they had no housekeepers right now, so they said they couldn’t do it. I asked them if I could have new clean sheets at least.
I had to change it myself, and sleep in this horrible moisture and humidity. The day after I left very early to a soccer tournament which was my reason to travel, and came back at 6pm. The room was still not cleaned, so no one cleaned before I arrive and after I complained.
I asked them to refund me for this horrible experience, but they said they couldn’t and I had to call Booking.
I've never seen that in my entire life.

-Checking in was problematic, can the staff read/write? do they know anything about pc ?
- When you get to the room there are urinals and garbage everywhere, as if there were homeless people or drug addicts.
- Rooms are in need of repair, from the floor to the bath room dirt without hair etc..
- When I was in the bed I had biting pains after a few minutes, at first I suspected mosquitoes but it was lice (bed lice / crabs).
*Itching, redness and inflammation of the skin.
*-brownish "rust spots" later on
*-small bruises around the bite later.
- When I phoned to complain during the night, the man said yes, we will look at your problem tomorrow.
* But I only had one night and checked in in the evening, so I had to endure the painful torture.
*After the overnight stay I had all clothes etc. cleaned and disinfected.
- Would like my money back.
