The room was very nice and clean. The pool was very nice as well.

The lady at the desk wasn’t very informative and when we arrived, wasn’t very welcoming. I felt like I disturbed her. Also when I was pay for my room, I gave her a different card than what was in file and she still charged the one on file. That was very inconvenient for me. Also, the WiFi was very bad!

A dirty washcloth was left in our bathroom. That should’ve clued us in. When we got in bed (late after an emotionally hard day) we realized the bed smelled like urine. We called the desk and asked to be moved. They gave us a new room. We had to get up and move all our newly unpacked bags.
The next day we asked the manager if she could offer some compensation for this issue. She said they didn’t find a urine smell in the bed! But she said they treated the bed anyway. (Really? Why did they do that if they didn’t think it smelled?) She argued with my husband saying she had moved us to a suite instead of a room as compensation and said, “What ELSE do you want?” He told her to at least partially comp our room! She said she’d adjust our price. She did…$11.36.
Overall this Hampton inn needs some updating and TLC and a friendly, customer-service-oriented manager. Our first room bath shower pressure was nil and the shower curtain covered the tub by mere centimeters. This location is not up to Hilton standards.
