The breakfast was fine. There was an assortment of breakfast foods. The location was easy to get to from Kings Dominion. We did enjoy the big screen TV in the room. The staff was very pleasant as you get checked in.

The reason I booked this hotel was due to my grandkids and the pool. This was the main reason I booked this for my grandchildren. When we got there the staff stated the hotels pool would not open until May. This was very disappointing. I would have booked another hotel but I was too tired from the Kings Dominion trip. The kids were very disappointed. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was not that clean considering it was a brand new hotel.

Personnel were friendly and professional. The room was available to us at our time of arrival. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was decent with a variety of items and some fruit. I would recommend this hotel to my family and fiends.

Breakfast was quite nice, and the pancake making each was fun to use. We enjoyed the games in the lounge in the evening, but they need some TLC to be fully functional.

Not sure if this is a Booking.com issue or a local Tru one, but I had made special requests which Booking.com reported via email were granted by Tru. When I arrived, the hotel staff told me that "wasn't them" and none of my (very reasonable) requests were granted. That really soured the experience and got the stay off on the wrong foot. Also, the property is in a sketch area next to a truck stop and a low-buck motel, so I wondered about security.

The front desk staff would be MIA at various points of the weekend. One of the elevators wasn't working at all and the other did not stop at picked floors.
