Negatives:
We arrived early afternoon and checked in to our room. Upon entering the room we noticed that several of the fixtures (lights, lamps and vents) were not screwed into the walls all the way and instead were hanging there. The vent fan in the bathroom didn’t even turn on and it was evident there was mold growing on the ceiling and in the shower. We dropped our belongings and headed out for the day, chalking it up to short staffing or some other excuse they would likely tell us. Upon arrival back at the room in the evening, we discovered cockroaches in our room in and around our belongings. This was not only disturbing but quite gross. We approached the front desk to tell them what happened and asked to be refunded. The hotel has since denied the request and only canceled the booking (still charging us for the first night). Poor customer service and the staff after the fact was quite rude about the situation. Would not recommended staying here or any Hyatt property for that matter.
