I purchased a non smoking room for a reason I dont smoke, walks in the room to smell smoke !!! Highly upset I called the front desk and told them I was too tired to change rooms after travel and work

Positives:
The property is located by tons of food in walking distance. It was also relatively close to the event we were attending.
Negatives:
I asked to be switched to a nonsmoking room (I didnt know 1) Id booked a smoking room, and 2) that smoking rooms still exist! I was told that there were no more nonsmoking rooms. However, my friends were switched to a nonsmoking room. There were cigarette burns in the comforter, the walls were yellow, and the a/c didnt work consistently. I had an older a/c than my friends in a comparable room. I feel like I could have been murdered in my room and no one would bat an eye.
I did not feel safe walking down the hallway at night as a woman, as some other hotel guests would make comments at me.
