Positives: Nothing. I had to leave and book another room
Negatives: When I checked in (I had booked online and it was the last room available) the person checking me in said "please let me know if there are any issues with your room." I thought that was a little odd. I was meeting friends so wanted to just drop off my stuff and head out and I immediately noticed a really nasty odor in the room, and I was pretty congested so I knew it must be really strong. When I went to the desk to ask about it he handed me Febreze and said this is what the cleaning people will do so see if that helps. I sprayed the room and left. My friend headed back with me to drop me off and when he walked into the room he gagged at the smell. The Febreze had not fixed the problem. We went to the desk to see if there was another room, but they were fully booked. The woman at the desk was polite and tried to be helpful, but after my friend said it smelled like someone died in the room and she confirmed that yes, someone had expired in the room that morning! She was unable to process a refund (it was a non-refundable reservation and would have required a manager or someone higher up). We had to find a room at a different hotel at midnight and I have been contacting them and Booking to get refunded, but it's been almost 2 weeks and no one at the hotel has responded.

Positives: The location of the hotel was great
Negatives: Even though it is non-smoking the hotel definitely smelled of smoke. And there was some noise issues in the parking lot that the front desk didnt really take seriously at least the night shift. The room was OK but the police is definitely run down

Positives: They were good about giving me a refund for the 2 days I did not stay when I checked out 2 days early to move to another hotel.
Negatives: I did not appreciate having to drag my luggage up 2 flights of stairs because there was no elevator to the 2nd floor. There is no carpeting in the room so the floor is cold and hard and the room is noisy, especially because I could hear the neighbors and the traffic on 28. I also am not comfortable staying in a room where my door leads directly outside rather than through a hallway.

Positives: Nice sized table in the unit to eat and place my laptop on.
Negatives: Room 234 is terrible. Came with a table but no chair. Luckily the table could roll so I used the bed as a seat. The fridge hinges were changed to have it open from the left side. It's supposed to be a smoke free unit but whoever used it before smoked in the bathroom constantly to the point where the smell is baked in. The bathroom fan is obnoxiously loud.
