Pool area needed a good cleaning, and when we booked room there was no indication that the water park water slides would not be open. We were there celebrating our 7 year old daughters birthday and the water slides were the whole reason we chose this property.

First day was good 2nd day they had no life guards so the slides weren’t open. I have 2 girls that really enjoy the slides so not to be open the fallowing day was not appreciated. Our last day the main pool and hot tube were closed for maintenance. Not sure why they would do this on the weekend. The hole point of our stay was for the waterpark and slides and we really only had a couple short hours to enjoy this the first day because of no life guards and closing the the pools for maintenance

Ashland...lovely; also love being on the lake.

Our room had a strong ammonia smell, no shower curtain, floor had stuff on it (balls) of hair and (blood?) on wall. Loved having a lake view room though. Not all the lamps worked.

The room showed signs of attempted cleaning. The bedding and towels were clean and comfortable enough. Tub was in need of updating but functional.
Negatives:
Lots of mold and dirt in the nooks and crannies. Surface cleaned but definitely needed some detailed work in the room. Lots of spill stains in the hallways.
Disappointed in the lack of effort from the staff and the overall looks of disdain. Practically every time you or you saw someone else have to buzz someone to the desk.
2nd day breakfast was an extreme downgrade after the convention patrons checked out the day before. It was interesting to watch the overall difference in staff's attention to details between having a convention group vs regular old everyday travellers.
We were not informed prior to asking after going to the pool area that the waterslides wouldn't be running and was not offered any kind of apology or explanation other than it was posted on the Wyndham website. We picked this hotel because of the waterslides and had it booked months in advance. If there are changes in the schedule about stuff like waterslides that a family with 2 kids would probably like to use it might be a good idea to send a memo or something.

The tub would not drain and I was left with 3 inches of water for 18 hrs until it drained on its own. The front desk gave us another room to take showers. The sink would not drain either. It would take 20 min to drain. Mold all over cloth shower curtain.
