We've done some digging to uncover the best of the best for pet friendly hotels in North Carolina.  Among the things we looked at were pet fees, number and types of pets allowed, pet amenities, and overall pet friendly vibe.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Atlantis Lodge allows guests to experience the sights, sounds, (and smells) of the majestic seas with their pets by their sides.  Atlantis Lodge in Atlantic Beach is a pet's paradise!  They don't just allow pets, they welcome them with open arms.  Both dogs and cats are welcome with no weight limits or breed restrictions!  Up to 2 pets/suite are allowed and the pet fees are low - $15/pet per night.  Also, the pet amenities are off the charts, including pet sheets, cookies, poop scoops and bags, as well as a dedicated dog park.  However, the best pet amenity is Atlantis Lodge's breathtaking (dog friendly) beach.  And it gets better! After romping in the sea and sand, pet guests can get cleaned up at the on-site pet washing station.
