Padre Island National Seashore

Explore the world's longest remaining undeveloped barrier island with a visit to Padre Island National Seashore with your pooch. This 130,434 acre natural area is a nesting area for the endangered Kemp's Ridley sea turtles and also offers a campground. Leashed dogs are permitted on the beach, throughout the park and in the campground, however they are not allowed in the buildings, on the deck of the visitor center or in the swim area by the visitor center.
