Negatives: Filthy shower, outdated room

Negatives: Unfriendly staff, rooms are rough shape. Paint peeling in the bathroom, needs an up date. Woke up by pipes knocking when the waters running.

Negatives: The price is outrageous for a place that smelled so very bad. The first room we were given, the pillows and bedding smelled like body odour and the room was not very clean at all. The second room they gave us was not much better, all the towels smelled like pool water, as if they had not changed them for clean towels, they just folded them and set them in the bathroom. The carpet was filthy, the walls had dirty hand prints on them, the caulking around the bath tub and sink must have been smeared on with a spoon or something, plus it has black mould. The hotel is not sound proof at all, we could hear everything that was happening in the pool area, down the hallway and in the rooms next to us. I wish I could download the pictures I took of the hand stained walls, and the caulking job.

Negatives: Continental breakfast is not included. Additional $7 fee p/p. Room was uncomfortably warm, even with AC on (this was in February!) Exterior of the hotel is quite dingy, but the interior is recently renovated and surprisingly clean.

Negatives: No towels at the pool but they were busy.

Negatives: I was not impressed by the way the hotel automatically charges my credit card without informing me ahead of time that this would be done. I know it is just a “hold”, but I saw no mention of it prior to booking or when I arrived. This could prove to be very embarrassing if I didn’t have the available funds or I needed those funds for a purchase after the hotel stay. It often takes a few days for a hold to come off. Knowing ahead of time would allow me to ensure there were sufficient funds, use a different card or choose to stay elsewhere.
