Positives:
I like how accommodating the front desk personnel tried to be, but at 5PM on a Thursday, maintenance staff had already gone home. However, maintenance manager had to go buy a part to fix one of our issue and do so after her break was over.
Negatives:
Our door (room 109) had no screws in the top hinge plate on the door, so you had to lift it in order to open or close and either way, it was very loud. The access light on the door was so short that it locked again before you could go through the steps required to open the door. Also, some basic maintenance needs to be done, ie., the fabric on the bottom of the box spring was hanging down in a couple of places and the bed frame corners were exposed and very painful when making contact with your shin. The bathroom ventilation fan did not work, so lots of fog and smells. Needed a couple more cups in the bathroom, so had to go to the lobby. An extra towel each would have been nice, too.

Staff was extremely helpful taking care of our needed room situation. The Manager personally went above and beyond without hesitation. Recommended a great place for dinner on top of it. Room was clean and the breakfast tasty.

They DEFINITELY NEED TO CHANGE THE WATER FILTERS TO THE ICE MACHINE.. date marked 2021 and the filters are disgusting So How Bad are the Water Filters for the incoming water for drinking ???? GROSS
Positives:
A standard Holiday Inn express was quick and easy access just off the I10. Clean tidy and comfortable rooms. Very helpful staff at check in. When we stayed, the buffet breakfast was closed but a instead complimentary breakfast from the standard menu was available. I had an absolutely delicious freshly made omelette while my wife had eggs on toast. Both were excellent and the restaurant staff were just lovely.
Negatives:
There are a lot of homeless people in this area. You need to be aware of security and safety after dark. The car park is well lit, and the hotel itself is secure.
