My husband and I met our colleagues for a weekend getaway. My friend booked our room under her AAA discount. Little did we know what a mess this could create. When I first called the nice person helped me said no problem and took my card. The day of, I called and spoke with someone named Kim. If you can access the recording- her professionalism was very poor. I was worried, we rarely get away from our children and business to enjoy a vacation. Once we got there , we were given the wrong room ( same keys as the friend who booked us). This confusion continued all weekend. Many of our charges were mixed up. WiFi was not free, after so much paid. And unfortunately these friends who were roomed next to us ended up sick, the walls are so thin we could hear coughing all night. I will say the food at Rita’s was amazing and also by the pool. For the price we paid and what we had heard about service at JW Marriott Camelbak we were sorely disappointed and hope you can use this information to improve your services for other future clients.

The surrounding area is beautiful and the steakhouse is remarkable. The room was okay. We got the bi-level king suite and it was nothing like the pictures. The steakhouse is amazing. It was the best part of the trip and the staff there were amazing. The spa was my favorite part except for the fact that they don’t do couples massages or facials. Everything is separated by gender.
Negatives:
We didn’t like the “king suite”. The bathroom was small and hauling your luggage up the narrow stairs wasn’t great. One day the staff didn’t clean our room and my husband rang the front desk to ask for someone to clean our room and the person was a bit argumentative about it. Room service was a waste of money. My husband ordered a martini and me a nonalcoholic beverage and neither were acceptable. We don’t plan on going back.

Rooms were very nice, staff everywhere were kind. The pool was fantastic. Golf carts can take you around.
Negatives:
Unfortunately, the Casita we stayed in had a mouse living in the bed headboard, so that was not a fun situation and we had to move rooms at 2 am. There were no comparable rooms, so we got a smaller room and we're given points for use.
Positives:
Spacious rooms, beautiful decor.
Negatives:
For events, this is ideal. For a traveler, the layout is confusing, privacy issues since everyone is on the same level, no housekeeping for the 3 days I was there - I was told the maids English wasnt that good?
