Negatives: Internet only works in lobby or first floor it seemed.

Negatives: When I was there they were doing construction

Negatives: Hotel was in the landing path of the airport very noisy most of the days

Negatives: No power and old facilities

Negatives: The amenities were lacking. There was no hair dryer or microwave (essential when traveling with kids). The noise level was pretty high, with the air traffic from the airport as well as the noisy air conditioner. There were not enough outlets next to the beds, the pool had no towels or restrooms, the table was too tiny to have a meal on and the construction going on at the hotel was pretty significant.

Negatives: My recent stay at the Hyatt Place Tempe Phoenix Airport can only be described as a complete disaster. Despite booking well in advance and being aware of the ongoing renovations until the end of January, nothing could have prepared me for the chaos and incompetence I encountered upon arrival. Upon reaching the hotel in the dead of night, I was greeted by a scene straight out of a horror movie. The front entrance was barricaded by cargo containers, with no visible signage indicating an alternative entrance. After driving and walking around the premises in vain, I finally stumbled upon a small, dimly lit door at the back of the building. To my dismay, it was locked, and there was no one in sight. Multiple attempts to contact the reception went unanswered, leaving me stranded outside for over half an hour. Just when I was about to give up and seek alternative accommodation, a glimpse of movement behind the curtains caught my eye. It turned out that the “receptionist” was a disinterested individual, munching on half-eaten microwave mac & cheese. After begrudgingly letting me in, there was no apology for the inconvenience caused by their sheer negligence. The nightmare continued as I made my way to the room. The hotel was in shambles, with construction debris scattered everywhere. The room itself was passable, but far from the standards expected from a reputable hotel chain. The following morning, the ordeal persisted as I attempted to navigate through a maze of construction activity just to reach the makeshift reception/breakfast room. It was a far cry from the advertised amenities and left me feeling utterly disappointed and cheated, especially considering the exorbitant price I had paid.

Negatives: Although going there we knew about the renovations, we should have gotten a discount. Renovations were very extensive. Front desk was incompetent in answering the phones. Called several times for a shuttle pick up, phone rang and rang. We had to send one of the other guests down to check why. They (clerk) said their ringer on the phone was turned off and didn’t know why or who did that. Our other friends also was waiting for pick up and couldn’t get thru and was waiting over and hour.
