Drove up from Imperial, CA. (3.5hours) It was my bday celebration. Reserved the hotel for Country Coastal Jam 2023 at $392.78 Total with fees & taxes. Check in was at 3pm. Arrived at 4pm. Was told check in was behind by 45 mins. Given (2) Complementary drinks for happy hour (worth $10) Was told that Self Parking would be Complimentary due to the check in back up. Was charged at 4:15pm more than my actual reservation $338.99 & after 2 attempts for availability, I was not given a room until 8pm. 3 hours later waiting in the lobby. I missed the Venue (which was the entire reason for booking this hotel) This was a horrible experience form Westin Hotels. I would not return. Nor recommend this hotel to others in the future.

The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the marina with bars and restaurants. The pool area is good and is open from 5.30-am to 11pm.
Overall the hotel has a slightly corporate feel to it, but is very clean and swish.
Negatives:
At check in, I asked for a room lower down than on the 12th floor that we were put in, but was told no, that wasnt possible. No effort to accommodate my request.
The car park is very expensive at $38 per night.
