Place is luxury, location is decent with good food choices around, heaps of parking around the street just look for it rather than doing valet for $50.
Negatives:
however some staff couldn’t be bothered and more concerned on tips than anything else. Two people in one room is very tight and small so be prepared

The hotel has a good location. It is also good that they offer direct communcation via text message.
Negatives:
When checking in, we got the feeling that not everything was in order. When we finally got the room, it was only set up for two persons event though we booked for 3. We talked to the front desk right away. It was only after complaining again the next day that we got the things for the third person.
We were very disturbed by the constant music playing right outside the room the whole first night and early morning. After complaining, the hotel lowered the volume for the rest of the nights, but we could still here the music.
We were told that there would be free bike rentals during our stay. After talking to the hotel, they informed us that the information regarding the bikes were old and that they no longer provided bikes - disappointing!
Finally, when checking out, the girl at the fornt desk wanted to charge us extra for WIFI, gym and pool (we did not use the gym or pool). However, we had already paid for these amenities when booking which one of her senior colleagues confirmed after a discussion with the girl. The girl at the front desk was not only unprofessional, but also dishonest.

The hotel was nice. Definite had a boutique feel to it. The room was nice enough, but quite small especially for a Los Angeles hotel.

The room size was quite small. Also, the front desk staff could have been more attentive. But overall a nice stay.

Stylish comfortable room, nice rooftop terrace
Negatives:
Loud, hotel supplied earplugs but it still was quite noisy from traffic and general noise outside and because we were next to the lifts. The location was a bit bland not much nearby in terms of cafes and restaurants but I think that's partly the European expectation and we soon realised everyone drives everywhere but we didn't have a car. Event going on at the hotel we didn't know about before booking which was confusing about what facilities we could access during this time.

The hotel itself is lovely. The pool area on the roof is amazing with 360 incredible views. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The ALK restaurant is also really nice. Within walking distance of the Chinese Theatre.
Negatives:
The rooms are very small, not much room. There is no where to store your suitcase within the room. It is in a good location but you will still need a car or taxis to get to places.
