A trip to celebrate my...
Positives:
The staff were generally friendly and helpful if I overlook the new trainee who misinformed us about free perks that in fact were not free. Very convenient central location in the fun and energetic Gaslamp Quarter. Easy walk to Embarcadero and waterfront. Tons of bars and restaurants to choose from all within walking distance. No need for a car! The fitness room was well equipped and clean - I always enjoy using one on my travels.
Negatives:
It would have been nice to have had the ability to make a good cup of coffee in our room and not have to go get an ok cup in the lobby. Robes are always nice to have so I missed not having one.

Positives:
Ayla was absolutely a gem to deal with. She is a great asset to your hotel! We loved the location (we are Giants fans and being two blocks from Petco Park is perfect) and the food/drink choices at Table 509 are outstanding.
Negatives:
It would have been nice to have our request for a late check out (from 11 to noon) granted, but not a huge deal.
The main elevator didn't work when we arrived, but the staff was accommodating to allow us to use the service elevator.

The room itself was fine and although small the hotel was fine. However, we would have preferred to know BEFORE we booked or in the booking reservation that 1) the rooftop was closed (main reason I picked it) and 2) that there would be construction that would start early in the morning. Couldn't sleep as a result.

Stay was short and disappointing.
Positives:
The staff's willingness to help and the hotel location. Additionally, the restaurant downstairs Table 509 was great as well. The food was fresh, and the servers accommodated me with whatever I needed.
Negatives:
The television in my room did not work too well. Specifically when I tried to use the channel guide it would turn back to a black screen for some reason. I had to scroll through channels quickly to get what I wanted.
