This hotel is an absolute gem in a fantastic location on the main street and overlooking the creek with amazing views into the mountains. The staff are welcoming and couldn't do enough for us during our stay.
The hotel is absolutely immaculate with large comfortable rooms.
We were there to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and we were upgraded to a creek view suite which was absolutely delightful. I really can't recommend the Golden Hotel enough.

Positives:
Breakfast was great….location was perfect. Once my room was changed, the room was fine.
I liked the parking system. In/out was easy and the parking fee seemed about right to me.
Negatives:
Room had a knocking noise in ceiling…I assume HVAC related. After several requests for repair, eventually asked for room to be moved.
The food servers in the bar / restaurant just seemed a bit confused or forgetful.
Housekeeping frequently walked past “litter” on the carpet or drink glasses that were randomly left in common areas without picking them up. Yes, guests should not have been inconsiderate or careless in dropping items, but, they should have been picked up regardless.
Should have been advised at check in that housekeeping was not daily - provided by request only.
