The staff was extremely accommodatingwe had booked this place as it advertised shuttle service to Tweed/New Haven Airportbut they didnt have a shuttle van available but one of the employees dropped us off at the airport in his own vehicle.

It was tired. Breakfast area was not as clean as I felt it could be. Very little ambience. Guests taking breakfast back to rooms? By the time we got down to breakfast it was nearly always gone. Didnt have the feel of a holiday destination. More long stay guests which gave it a rather strange feel. Neither Air BnB nor hotel. Room smelt musty. Had to ask for coffee maker - no biggy. Poorest place weve stayed at on our trip which was a shame

The toilet ran constantly - The sink drained very slowly - the outlets in the bathroom sink area didnt work - there were hairs on the towels & in the tub - the shower kept turning to bath mid shower & was hard to keep a decent temperature & there wasnt enough towels & no housekeeping

Fantastic location that is easy to get everywhere. Complimentary breakfast and drinks every morning is a huge plus. Room size with full kitchen and fridge is outstanding for longer stays.

Great anniversary stay visiting New Haven and Yale
Positives:
The location of NHVS was perfect (less than 5 minutes away from the venue we were attending) so we were thrilled with that. Also, the hot water was instant - no wasting water. The breakfast that was served was more than sufficient.
Negatives:
The carpeting looked pretty nasty but otherwise the room was clean. It would be nice to have a bench or two to put luggage on. We were only allowed 1 extra pillow instead of the 2 we requested

The entire place was dirty or broken. The place smelled horrible like cigarettes. The vents were so dirty they were fuzzy. The couch had mold in it when you opened it up and that couch bed mattress was so uncomfortable and practically broken. Very disappointed.

Staff was nice and very accommodating. Location is close to Yale Medical and hospitals and waterfront.
Negatives:
Facilities are very outdated and not very comfortable. Very basic and the decor is a bit dark and depressing. Not exactly what you want when recovering from a surgery for a few days. Breakfast is beyond basic.
