Positives:
The bed was very comfortable.
Negatives:
Heater was very noisy. On the website the way they took the photo leads you to believe it is in a more isolated country setting. It is not, as the Inn has no gardens and in the backyard is some sort of construction business. It is in Downtown Simsbury, which is very quaint and pedestrian friendly, but this is not a country Inn. The staff was little brash-when we asked if there was a garden on the premises, the woman's at the front desk responded no and asked why did we ask. She suggested that we go to church instead. There also very limited seating in the continental breakfast area, if more than four people eat at the same time you will have to go to a room behind the front desk.

Positives:
The House is absolutely gorgeous and filled with history - it is lovely.
Negatives:
But the place is an environmental disaster. There is no recycling on the property and the continental breakfast is serviced with plastic cutlery wrapped in plastic. For what guests pay, metal knives and forks and real plates should not be too much to ask.

Pleasant
Positives:
The breakfast was great and it was nice to have a good restaurant on site. The bedding was extremely comfortable and being located in the Carriage House was a bonus.
Negatives:
There could of been more seating available for breakfast but since the restaurant was run separately extra seating was probably not available.
