There were like 15 dead Flys in one corner. All the corners of the walls had dirt. There was, what looked like blood or feces on the bathroom wall and behind the bathroom door.

Signs posted that you cant smoke within 20 feet of room. Awesome. I cant say enough about the staff. Its a bunch of guys that rotate the front desk. All of them were so nice, proficient, an amazingly kind. Establishment is only as good as the people that manage it. I felt very safe there.

Location, price, the big fridge with a freezer, and coffee early in the morning - 5:30 - were good.
Negatives:
The clerk was not very personable and gave a very vague description of how to get to my room. The steps to the second floor could use better lighting. There is no lightswitch by the front door so you have to find a lamp and then figure out how to turn it on. The bathtub was very slippery so taking a shower was perilous. I had to find the electric outlet behind the bed to charge my computer/ cell phone.

Hotel was doing a renovation. Shower/tub was not functioning properly. Water built up in the tub while showering. No coffee pot in room.

I pretty much got what was expected.
Positives:
Dereliction hanging about everywhere-stairwells, parking lot, balconies...felt very unsafe and it was loud-people shouting to each other. The only good thing was the location

Microwave was filthy, kleenex dispenser was empty, only half roll of TP on bathroom, no cup, shampoo, or coffee maker- breakfast area in lobby was not clean or in good repair to think of using. Room smelled like smoke
