Good location just outside the FQ. Lovely friendly staff. Good sized room, comfortable bed. Nice bar area.
Negatives:
Gym is terrible; dirty and very dated with barely any equipment. Carpets in rooms were being cleaned the day I checked in, so I had to leave the room ten mins after getting in. Air conditioning was really loud, although this did get sorted once I addressed it with reception.
A really small thing which is easily fixed; I dont understand why housekeeping would make up a room and leave the toilet seat up?! Every day I came back to the room to find the seat up; as a solo female traveler, this is really quite gross, there is a reason I dont travel with men and this is one of them!

Unique, clean, excellent staff that goes above and beyond.
Negatives:
Water temperature and pressure could have been better in the shower so be prepared. Air conditioning runs warm at baseline, however, it sounds like you can request for it to be switched over to be a cooler temp so it can be fixed.

Unique, authentic, close to the French quarter.
Positives:
Good location right by the street car and French quarter, clean bathroom, one person at the desk was very nice and helpful, but others seems not to care too much. Appreciated having a mini-fridge in the room.
Negatives:
The room was small but that didnt bother us. A few details that added up would make us consider not staying here again: a hole in the sheets, tv had image problem, window cant be open and is frosted glass, woke up at 4am by a super loud garbage truck (or construction? Felt it was in the room) and humid smell (maybe because they clean the carped).
