It seems like Colonial is a euphemism for dirty and worn. The bathroom was not very clean, the sheets were old and thin, the lighting was awful, the furniture worn and dirty looking in the lobby. It was not at all what I expected and was overpriced and very disappointing.

The rooms were beautifully appointed in an historical building. The staff was friendly.
Negatives:
When we checked in, we discovered that our room had been given to another guest. Therefore, we were assigned a different room, were required to check out of that room the next morning and had to have our luggage stored on the property before checking into a different room that evening. Big hassle. I asked about a discount for our trouble and received no reply from management.

Positives:
Concord's Colonial Inn is an exceptional historic inn with a massive amount of history and legend in the beautiful, idyllic setting of Concord, MA. I love the history and beauty of the area and of the inn. Everyone was friendly, kind and welcoming.
Negatives:
The only two things I didn't like was that there wasn't any regular housekeeping for the rooms - it was upon request only - and even though they give you a wifi password, the internet didn't work very well in our room. We had to go to the front of the inn or outside to get a good connection. But those were really minor issues - I would stay there again in a minute.

It was an excellent stay - my daughter and I didn't want to come home. :)
