The room was clean, it looked like the bathroom was updated. The staff were nice.
Negatives:
The bathroom had barely any light only the little bit going around the mirror. I couldn't do my hair or makeup in it. I had to use the full length mirror in the room. The room had a weird musty smell to it, and the AC wasn't working well. The room was warm the whole time. The breakfast area only had 3 tables in it, so it was pretty much get your breakfast sandwich (not a full breakfast, more like to-go items) and muffin or banana and head back up to the room. The shower itself was nice, but the floor in it was slippery and there weren't any hand holds anywhere to grab hold of if needed. No light in the shower area. The rest of the hotel was very old and dirty looking throughout. There was a sign saying they were renovating. Definitely needs to be updated throughout.

Location, staff (except 1), price meets expectations. Cleanliness need to improve but better than other equivalent hotels. Will recommend and stay again if visiting Utica again. Breakfast was okay but not as expected, could add an egg and pancake platform
