Positives:
The location was good and there was enough parking available.
Negatives:
The ceiling in the hallway on the main floor had several tiles removed and wires exposed. It wasn't appealing. Also, there was an exposed hole running through the wall in our bathroom behind the door. The window in our room was dirty and splattered with wall plaster. The painters did not do a very professional job in our room. There were paint splatters on the refrigerator yet.

Positives:
The property changed names (and, I assume ownership) and it is clear that they are working on renovations. The front desk staff were very helpful, pleasant, and professional. Hotel was clean and quiet even though we were aware of young children on the same floor. Old carpet has been replaced by laminate flooring.
Negatives:
Continental breakfast was pretty scant. Mattress was pretty firm for our comfort, but probably fine for most. Wi-fi was very slow and cut out at times.

We arrived to find an active construction site in the facility. We received no warning of construction happening. Carpets not cut and secured leaving a section to step over when entering our room. Tripping hazards elsewhere.

The location was good. Breakfast not so good. This place was run by friendly older gentlemen who did their best to give us a clean room.
In my opinion, this place is good for people who want/need to live in a motel for economic reasons.
Negatives:
Smoking right outside the front door was annoying. We had to walk through it.
