The person who checked me into room, I left to eat & came back to two strangers in the room I was checked into. I had to go back downstairs for them to fix and the person who checked me in, mixed up the rooms and keys acted like I was inconveniencing her

This is a really nice La Quinta. It is clean and has an amazing breakfast

Good breakfast, quiet room, very clean, comfortable beds, location convenient to caverns and Guadalupe Mountain NP. Very helpful and efficient personnel, the breakfast supplies were replenished up to the last moment. Very easy check-in and check-out.
Negatives:
The bathroom needed some attention. The bathtub faucet leaked and the bathtub recoating peeled in places. Except for these two minor issues, everything was functional and very clean.

I liked that they had decorated the lobby and elevators for Thanksgiving. It made me feel at home even though I was traveling.

Food is bad. Powdered eggs, raw sausage. Upon arrival I wasnt able to pay extra for an upgraded room. No explanation. At 7:30am, we were woken up by fire alarm. No discussion to guests. No explanation. It went off for over an hour. No apology. Nothing.

Positives:
The hot breakfast had lots of variety, varied by day, and the hot food was hot, cold food was cold. Plenty to eat even up until breakfast end time. The eating area was spacious with a variety of seating.
Negatives:
Overall maintenance was lacking. Tub/Shower faucet dripped constantly, the tub spout was partly off the wall. The hotel shut off water from 8am until 11am with very little warning for emergency pipe repairs, on the morning we checked out.
