Positives:
So conveniently close to everything, rooms are comfortable and kitschy. Always love staying
Negatives:
Room 205 has bed in front of radiator so it gets really hot, I miss the breakfasts they had but otherwise it’s a fun stay!

Positives:
The location and staff service were terrific.
Negatives:
The upkeep in the rooms & maintenance sometimes felt less than professional.

Passable
Positives:
The location is great, nearby subway stations, many restaurants, lots of shopping. Easy to get around. The staff was very friendly during check in and check out.
Negatives:
It was an affordable hotel so I did not have many expectations. There was room service every day that made the bed, but no actual cleaning (at least I think so). The matrazze itself was a bit old. It was cold and cold air came in through the windows. The aircon was not always able to change to heating function. Also, this is not the hotel's fault, but either inside the hotel or nearby or on this street, there was someone smoking weed laterally at all hours of the day. I woke up at 2A and 6AM to the smell of weed waving into my room

Too many stairs!! And booking did not notify before payment!!!

Be aware of the stairs!!!!
Positives:
The staff was friendly & very helpful - especially Donny, and the back garden was nice to sit in & have coffee in the morning.
Negatives:
The cleanliness needs much improvement. There needs to be attention given to the rooms: The fake floorboards were coming up, exposing some weird foam underneath. The full-size mattress was a top a Queen box spring which lacked a bedbug cover. The sheets &pillowcases were dingy, and the pillows had no pillow protector cases, let alone bedbug cases. The place is ripe for an infestation.

Positives:
The location is great, Subway a few steps away, great options on restaurants and cafés. The pizzaria across the street is delicious.
The staff was always ver helpfull and very nice.
The hotel offers café, tea and beverages, and a kitchen ready to use for breakfasts or other quick meals.
Also very clean.

Great staff and hotel!
Positives:
The hotel is very well located, cosy and on a big but quiet street, right next to a subway station. There is a kitchen and a back yard where you can have a breakfast and bring your dinner if you want. The hotel has a Hollywood theme which was quite amusing.
Negatives:
The hotel has 5 floors and no elevator. Climbing to a room on the top floor is quite tiring. I would not take a room on that floor again.

Good location. Very quiet. Nice...
Positives:
The location of the Chelsea Pines Inn was perfect for our trip. This seems to be a "quieter" part of the city, less hustle and bustle than others parts of the city we visited. There is a subway station on the corner which makes it extremely easy to get around. Directly across the street is Bean Gourmet Coffee, and we visited it several times. The sandwiches are fabulous and the people that work there are so nice. Right around the corner is the Chelsea Market. A place that everyone should visit for sure!!
Negatives:
The rooms were extremely stuffy/hot. We learned that with old buildings that have radiators, the remedy is to open the window. No fault of the hotel, just had to learn how to offset the heat by cracking the window. Once we got that straightened out, it was much more comfortable in our room.

Positives:
Amazing location and great value. Very close walk to our concert venue, the High Line and Little Island. Tons of restaurants in walking distance. No elevator but that was clearly stated at booking so I didn't mind and since they were not full the staff gave us 2nd floor.
Negatives:
The room was quite narrow but normal for NYC. The little room that held the toilet was so small I couldn't tolerate closing the door all the way, it was almost touching my knees.
