This time I came back to New York to show my daughter this big and wonderful city! I chose this hotel based on the description on Booking(.com). It promised me a hotel in a good location in a quiet area. A room of 33 square meter with two single beds and a sitting area. I was hoping for a nice view. For our 7 nights stay I knew we would spend some time in the room. We got an approximate 20 square meter room with a sitting area consisting of an armchair sandwiched between a bed and the desk. The room was dark like a cave with a windows to a deep atrium. The area was reasonly quiet but the vents in the room was running all the time - thats something to get used to. When I did a complaint about the room by telling that I expected to get a room that (to some extent) fitted the description found on Booking (22 square meters isnt 33 square meters!). I was told: "we have no 2 floor plans or room layouts that are just the same - configurations and square footage may vary slightly" ... but by 10 square meters! and they didn't know anything about a seating area. I just didnt get what I paid for. Then I expected to pay for what I got. But there could be no question of a decline in the price. One of the most disappointing hotel stays I have experienced in the US. My recommendation for the hotel - get the descriptions on Booking sorted out.

Discourteous receptionist (Carlos) and lazy housekpeeing (our room had a nearly depleted toilet paper when we arrived and we had to ask for blankets for the sofa bed despite having booked for 4 people).
